High Blood Pressure at Applebee's
Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.

Meh, in an act of desperation I chose Applebees. It's like all the others. Got the sweet potato fries, and pickles. Sauces surpringly tasty. Especially the Sriracha sauce.

We only ever go here for half off apps at night, but when we do it is a pleasant experience. The staff here is awesome and the food comes out quickly and is a really good value if you get the half off apps and happy hour drinks! Makes for a very cheap and laid-back date night.

Absolutely horrible Roadside service. Waited over 10 minutes just to be helped on the phone but was only 2 minutes away. My sister decided to call to prove a point and waited just as long. Right before we were turning into the parking (to talk to the manager at this point bc we were so upset and just wanted to show them how long we were waiting). Left my name number and the BEST times to have the GM, Scott, call me only to have him wait 4 days before a single call AND 1 minute AFTER the BEST TIME TO CALL me would be. Horrible service! DO NOT GO THERE!! God knows how many times they let this happen!! LAMF!! I warned u I would do this!! YOU DONT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!!!!

I hate all applebees. Every time I go there they have horrible service, food, atmosphere. If you think this is a good restaurant you're insane.

Update: This location is very close to my home so I come here often. Although most times I don't have any issues with service today I did. I took my mom to lunch today and the restaurant was busy for lunch. Micah was the host that seated us. After sitting at our table for over ten minutes without being greeted by our waitress I asked Micah if he informed our waitress we were there. He said he would tell her and they are extremely busy. After another 6 minutes I told Micah again we haven't seen a waitress and two tables that were sat after us have already ordered their meals and we haven't even received a glass of water. He told me the other two tables had a different waitress. I asked if he could get us anyone who could help us out, he informed me that he already told our waitress Courtney and she'll be over when she can. So I asked to speak with the manager. After an additionalminutes Brittany the manager came out and said she would wait on us. Brittany was very apologetic and got us our drinks and food right away. Although the killer looks Courtney gave us after her manager had to serve us was less than appropriate. When we received the bill they didn't even bother to comp anything on our check, which was not expected but would have been a nice gesture since we wasted over a half hour on their incompetence. Brittany definitely made things better but could have done more.

Service is weak, and food was bland. Hostesses did not acknowledge me walking in, and seemed put off by my being there. After asking for a table for one, I was promptly seated where I waited for a server to show up. I studied the vast menu and decided what to have and waited some more before the server finally showed up. She did apologize for the wait and took my drink order, but not the food order even after I told her I was ready to order food as well. When she returned I ordered the double crunch bone-in wings from the bar snacks menu and a clubhouse grille sandwich. The server asked if I would like the wings before the sandwich and I clearly said yes. The wings and sandwich came out together, and instead of the bar snacks wings I got the full order which is twice the price. I didn't complain because it's a simple mistake. The food was was nothing special, but consistent for Applebee's. I got a single refill on my ice tea and was not offered another despite running dry. I stayed around well after I was ready to leave to see how long it would take to get a refill. I decided to take a photo of the empty cup, when the server noticed she asked if I would like an iced tea to go. I declined and left out the front door completely unnoticed by the two hostesses.

Good neighborhood fare. Applebee's mixes up the menu enough to keep the choices fresh while not dispensing with the old favorites. Waitstaff is attentive and fun without being overbearing. Portions were good value for the price and the food was cooked to perfection. Not usually a fan of the mid level chains, but locally I need a break from the Coney every now and then. The steak quesadilla tower is awesome. Probably could have done without the TV next to us showing a UFC fight where two dudes were turning each others face to raw hamburger, but no complaints beyond that!

Just my wife and I escaped the kids for this dinner. It was pretty good. Service was above average and the food was pretty good - also decent sized portions for the money. Although not perfect, I am not afraid to recommend this Apple bee's - and I'm not normally a big fan of Apple bee's.

Horrendous Carside to Go! 57 mins from the time we ordered to the time we pulled out of their lot! The manager did comp one of our items and gave a 10.00 coupon, however their Carside to Go system needs to be reevaluated by corporate. I contacted corporate by email and waited the 3-5 days for a response. Guess what? Nothing! I call and am told someone will get a hold of me. Sure, she emails me to say she will call today. Guess what? It has been 3 days since she said would call. Wow! Corporate seems to be just as inadequate as the Carside to go. Good job, Applebees!

Stopped into Applebee's to meet some friends prior to hitting the highway for our weekend away. We ponied up to the bar and had a couple beers, freshly fried chips, and french dip sliders. I enjoyed everything I had, especially the beer (Shocktop). The place was extremely busy, lots of families, and our bartender was cute and attentive. Yeah it might not be a small local joint that everyone looks forward to, but for an Applebees, its absolutely just fine.
(4)Michael S.
All I wanted was a decent burger and a couple beers. I sat at the bar, looked through the menu, and decided on the "Standard American Burger"- medium rare. I also ordered a tall Sam Adams. The bartender pulled the beer with over an inch of space left in the glass. I thought this was strange, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she didn't realize. Upon receiving my burger, the first thing I notice is that the cheese is entirely unmelted. As if it were an afterthought. No big deal. As I wait for silverware and ketchup I eat a couple fries. The fries were not just "not hot", but they were literally colder than room temperature. I felt the entire pile of fries with the back of my hand and they were all cold. I was too hungry to send them back, so I dealt with it. Biting into the burger, it was clear it was not cooked to medium-rare. It was borderline well-done. The red onions were from the outside of the onion, so inedible. I enjoyed the rest of my well-done burger with its cold thick cheese slice and chewy onions alongside my cold French fries, and ordered another beer. Same pour. It was as if she just got tired of waiting for the glass to fill. Several other people at the bar ordered food and every one of them waited for silverware as their food cooled. One end of the bar was being used as an area to place dirty glasses. I'm not talking about the designated area where servers pick up drinks. It was right in front of an actual spot at the bar. The first person to leave the bar after I'd arrived had their dirty plates remain on the bar for about 20 minutes after they left. The bartender rimmed a martini glass with salt and served it to a customer who'd ordered a fruity drink. The drink was sent back and repoured. At some point there was a huge spill and a waiter said he'd better clean it up, because if he falls the restaurant would be paying him workers' comp. There was a very disoriented woman telling me to be careful as I walked back from the restroom. I'm not sure if she fell or not, but she wasn't wrong about the slipperiness of the floor. I paid my tab and left. Won't ever be coming back.
